Espen Rekdal (39) is a natural history photographer and cameraman, writer and marine biologist. He is perhaps best known in the photo community for his accomplishments in the bi-annual CMAS splash in world championships, placing top three in four consecutive participations - ending in 2009 with the world champion title.

Though stills photography with emphasis on fine art imagery has been a specialty in the past, he has branched out quite considerably over the past 5 years, to include commercial work, travel-features and filmmaking to his areas of expertise.

Espen’s stills and videography has been widely published in hundreds of books, TV shows and magazines, most notably National Geographic, Discovery channel, LA Times, Huffington post, Daily mail and BBC Wildlife.

This site displays several hundred examples of his work.
